Natural Disaster
I'm not sure i find the same joy writing in here anymore. Either that or i'm just getting lazy.
So Friday, October 13th i got to live through a natural disaster :]. That morning we had no snow, that night we had two feet and basically every school in the area was closed. You've gotta love Buffalo. Trees were falling EVERYWHERE. Me and my mom didn't realize the seriousness of the situation, so when a huge branch fell in the middle of the road that cars kept hitting, we went outside to move it. We so easily could've been killed, but we didn't realize that.
So Buffalo had no power for a week or more. Me and my neighbors spent the WHOLE day together. We made snowmen, built snow igaloos, played Clue, played hide and seek in the dark, made braclets :]. It was great, we couldn't watch TV obviously, but every once in a while we'd draw a picture and tape it on the TV. Every hour or so we'd 'change the channel'. Hahaha the parents got a kick out of that.
Moving pounds and pounds and pounds of tree branches, and no power for a week aside, it wasn't all bad. Spirit week was basically cancelled, homecoming was moved to this Friday. But me and my friends stuck togehter the entire time. The whole week we had off school, and didn't have power i was with my friends constantly and they made it fun. :]
I still find it weird that i went through a 'natural disaster'.
